A Life-Changing Gift
This is just a reminder that the greatest gifts we can give aren’t for sale.

You may already know that many Brittan Acres children who need extra support in reading, writing, or math get that help from volunteer tutors—“regular” moms, dads, grandparents, and even high school students—who meet their tutees here once a week for 45 minute sessions. These community heroes are part of the Healthy Cities tutoring program that matches volunteers with students needing extra academic support during the school day or after school.

BA currently has a waiting list of 14 students in need of a tutor. Would you consider becoming a Healthy Cities volunteer? By giving the gift of your time, you can make a real difference in a child’s success at school. And I will let you in on a secret: it will make a difference in your life, as well.

BA’s Healthy Cities Coordinators, Kristin Wu ( or Caitlin Schneider ( would love to tell you more about how you can be part of this solution. You can also visit the Healthy Cities website at

Thank you.
