Hello BA community.

We’re told the groundhog’s skittish behavior last week indicated six more weeks of winter. Winter or spring, we certainly need more rain! Eventually it will come, which will mean more drivers at drop off and pick up time. A few reminders:

  • Drivers, please pull up as close to the car in front of you as is safe. This will allow more vehicles at Cordilleras to turn onto Belle and clear traffic there.
  • While waiting, please turn off your engines. Our walking parents and children will thank you for sparing the air.
  • Remember the police are supporting safety around all our schools—which means tickets from time to time. Fair warning:
    • No U-turns on Belle
    • No parking in front of driveways
    • No double-parking in the pick-up line

We’ve made excellent progress with our traffic safety this year. Thank you for walking to and from school whenever possible, and please remember to thank our FABULOUS volunteer crossing guards whenever you see them!

Best wishes,
John Triska
