Hello BA Families.

The spirit of volunteerism is alive and well at Brittan Acres!
I was truly touched to see Cynthia Wiggin’s crew of 10 moms and dads wielding shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows, spreading mulch along the ramp to the upper playground last Thursday morning. What a great example of 16th century playwright John Heywood’s quote, “Many hands make light work.” Thank you all for that time and effort to beautify our campus!

We need a few more volunteers in key positions to make the difference this fall. Can you help us out?

  • Walk-a-Jog booths are managed by classroom volunteers. So far BA has only two classrooms covered! The booths are pre-planned—all you need to do is read the description and follow directions about where, when, and how. Contact your Room Parent, teacher, or Kim Kelly at tkk2005@sbcglobal.net
  • Our BA Crossing Guards make the difference between chaos and safe crossings at Belle and Cordilleras each morning. Can you spare 30 minutes once or twice a month to keep the corner covered? Contact Paula Ebejer-Moffitt at paula@primaprinting.com
  • Several classrooms are short Art in Action or BUGS volunteers. These wonderful programs can’t run without parents! Contact your Room Parent, teacher, or, for Art-in-Action: Martha McDaniel at mjmcdaniel@mindspring.com; for BUGS: Kristin Hendricks at kristinhendricks@hotmail.com

I’m grateful to be part of this generous community, where so many look for ways to be part of the solution. Thank you for your support.

Best,
John Triska
