Interested in Cub Scouts?
Is your son interested in joining Cub Scouts? San Carlos Cub Scout Pack 65 (www.pac65.org) will hold several information events in September. Parents and their sons are invited to come and learn all about Scouting.
Cub Scouts is open to all boys from 1st through 5th grade. Pack 65 is an active pack who enjoy building, playing, camping, taking trips, hiking and community service projects. Please join us at one of the following events to learn more:
- Thursday, 9/14 at 6:30pm. Burton Park near the stage.
- Sunday, 9/17. Highland Games. Location TBD. Time TBD.

Friends of the Library September Back to School Special for teachers and kids.
Did you miss out on the Friends of the San Carlos Library’s August Back to School Special for teachers and kids?
We are extending the special for the September Sale. Teachers receive 50% off their total purchase and all regular children/teen books will be 50 cents, with designated sale books only 25 cents! There are many new arrivals, including lots of series books.

Writing Classes for Elementary and Middle School Students
Sentence Center helps students become better writers. We offer writing classes for elementary and middle school students in which we teach composition, organization, and elaboration in small groups. In addition, students will improve their grammar and sentence structure, build a stronger vocabulary, and feel more confident as emerging writers. Ragazzi Boys Chorus, a CBS News ‘best choir of the Peninsula,’ will teach your boy to sing! Schedule your 7-10 year old boy for a fun group audition. The San Francisco Boys Chorus is delighted to announce weekly rehearsals at the Congregational Church in San Mateo at 225 Tilton Avenue, San Mateo on Tuesdays and Thursdays for boys with unchanged voices. Theater Social Skills Class Open for Registration
Friends Play Group (San Carlos Children’s Theater) is a social skills workshop designed for small groups of socially delayed children, ages 6-9 years old. Using drama a pretend play children participate in modeling new skills that help them become better social thinkers. The students are videotaped for a take-home DVD so they can practice their new skills. Saturdays 9:30 – 10:30 am, September 30th October 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th November 4th, 11th, Congregational Church, 751 Alameda, Belmont.
Starting a San Carlos Engineering and Technology Club

Kidz Love Soccer
Kidz Love Soccer is designed especially for younger kids from 2-10 years of ages. We have 5 different levels according to their age. It’s a non competitive activity where we use imaginative games which allows kids to learn soccer skills and build their confidence in fun and energetic environment. Mid-Peninsula Music Academy

We offer multiple student recitals each year as well as faculty concerts throughout the community. Belmont United Soccer Club’s year-round youth soccer academies are open to children 5 to 10 years old looking to develop their skills and to prepare for competitive soccer. Ready to go again? The 12th Annual San Carlos Treasure Hunters is set for another fantastic treasure hunt! Be a part of this San Carlos tradition that has become a staple each October in San Carlos.
