A MESSAGE FROM THE SAN CARLOS SCHOOL DISTRICT
ATTENTION PARENTS OF 2010-11 KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS
In an effort to improve the kindergarten enrollment process, the SAN CARLOS SCHOOL DISTRICT announces it will be accepting centralized Pre-Registration for incoming Kindergarten students for the 2010-11 school year!
THERE IS NO NEED TO RUSH!!! School assignments will NOT be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. As always, it is a high priority that we place students in their neighborhood school if they choose and there is space available. In the case where a school is over-enrolled, we will apply additional criteria to determine the order of placement of students. Pre-registrations for kindergarten 2010-11 will be taken between 10/1 – 11/30, after which time the district will review its class sizes for staffing purposes. Please note that we are NOT accepting out-of-district charter requests until the beginning of our “official” enrollment process next year. The final established criteria for placement will be announced in March 2010.

HOW: For faster service, parents can download, print and fill out all enrollment forms from home or pick up a packet at the district office. Forms are located on the parent section of our school district web site at www.sancarlos.k12.ca.us.
