BA’s annual Read-a-thon begins February 11 and goes through February 24. This year, we are encouraging every student to read 20 minutes a night for two weeks so that we can meet our school-wide goal of 100,000 minutes! And if we meet that goal? Mr. Triska will dress up in costume. How fun is that?
Plus, every child who participates gets a prize. And, the child who reads the most in his/her class will receive a $10 gift card from The Reading Bug.
This year, we are not asking for pledges, just your child’s commitment to read every night! Details about how to participate will come home the week of February 4. So, pick up a book—or two—and get ready to read! (Visit the library or BA’s own book fair for reading suggestions.)
